Drake Well Museum and Park

This is where the modern oil industry began. Col. Edwin Drake drilled the first oil well here in Venango County. Coming to this park and museum you can see the valley that changed the world. Take a tour through the museum and learn about the incredible history. Not a history buff? That's okay, this park is perfect for nature enthusiasts as well. Enjoy a manicured path around the entire property, watch the ducks float up and down Oil Creek, and finish it off with a picnic in one of the pavilions.
